This week, our team had the honor of celebrating the passage of the Pregnant Worker Fairness Act (PWFA) and The Providing Urgent Maternal Protections (PUMP) Act at the White House. Thanks to the White House Gender Policy Council, we had a space to share the weight of these historic wins which are now in full effect alongside many of our partners who also tirelessly advocated for these laws.
Our organization fights to secure and move forward the legal rights of pregnant and lactating workers, but often we are not granted space to slow down and feel the magnitude of the work we do. Celebrating with our wider community and hearing stories from people whose lives will be impacted by these new laws remind us that we are capable of great change together. We are excited to keep building stronger protections for the people who need it most.
